I worked as a buyer at Gimbels from the late 70's through mid-80's & the traverse was the route you took over to the Gimbels Corporate Buying Office located in the Gimbels Annex. I walked through it many times when I had to examine samples our corporate brought back from overseas.
Great pix but am sorry to see that it hasn't been maintained very well over the years.

Thanks for This Alexander. My corporate Exchange email has been working fine on Mountain Lion. The only thing I'm finding is that when I have messages grouped by conversation, it takes about a minute before a new message shows up in the preview. So I'll get a ping and a little red circle number, and if I click on the conversation, the new email is there, it just doesn't show itself in the preview pane for about a minute or so.

While I get SCRIPPS business reasons, it does seem counter to all the small/local feelings present at Smorgasburg. And seriously if you are doing food at Smorgasburg make it better than chicken wings, pulled pork and quesadillas Double WTF.

Hello Sir, my name, curiously, is also Alexander Rea. I just checked out your twitter feed " It's pronounced 'ray'", this made me chuckle as i have the same problem with people calling me Alex "Ree".
The reason I am contacting you is because I am interested in asking you about your family history, the name REA is not common at all and has its origins with southern ireland. I was wondering maybe, are your parents/grandparents Irish? Do you know of a place called Limerick? I am a direct descendant of the Irish side, my father is Irish from Limerick and knows a bit about the family history. I was born in London and am excited to know some Rea's made the journey on to New York, I would love to know the story.
I have been tracking different Rea's around the globe and could share some valuable information with you if you would like?

Thanks for the flashback Alexander, VG started 10 years ago in February on the back of a failed dotcom that brought us all to NYC and prompty ran out of cash.
